Revolut will soon offer business merchants in the UK the ability to accept American Express cards, opening access to premium, high-spending customers and supporting the expansion of Amex’s card network in the UK. Initially available for e-commerce through Revolut’s Gateway, Payment Links, and Tap to Pay on iPhone systems, in-person payments will be added later this year.
This addition brings Revolut Business’ total payment methods for merchants to seven.
According to Alex Codina, general manager of merchant acquiring at Revolut Business, the wide array of payment methods provided by Revolut helps merchants offer seamless customer experiences, fostering loyalty and encouraging repeat business. Dan Edelman, general manager at UK Merchant Services for American Express, noted that Revolut’s integration of Amex will allow more UK businesses to attract loyal, high-spending Amex cardholders.
