Infinity Ventures, a fintech and commerce-focused venture capital firm, has closed its second fund, raising $184 million to support early-stage startups. Founded in 2021 by PayPal veterans Jeremy Jonker, Jay Ganatra, and Mario Ruiz, the firm focuses on investing in pre-seed to Series A rounds across fintech and commerce enablement sectors.
The firm’s leadership team, which spearheaded investments in companies like Plaid, Paxos, and Tink, and acquisitions such as Venmo, Braintree, and iZettle, brings deep industry expertise. To date, Infinity Ventures has invested in 23 companies, including PayFac-as-a-service platform Rainforest, corporate card and expense management solution Mendel, and payments data provider Pagos.
With its second fund, Infinity Ventures will continue its unique “operators-first, investors-second” approach. As ex-operators, the team takes a hands-on role in helping portfolio companies scale, assisting with execution, negotiating customer deals, and facilitating key introductions.
“As ex-operators ourselves, we see our role as an extension of our portfolio companies,” said co-founder Mario Ruiz. “Our industry expertise and connections set us apart from traditional venture funds.”
