Tappy Technologies Launches Payments and Fitness Ring

Tappy Technologies has introduced an innovative ring that combines fitness tracking with contactless payments. The ring can be tokenized with users’ debit, credit, or prepaid cards, allowing for secure, card-free payments. Developed in partnership with Thales, the ring incorporates secure element chips to protect financial transactions.

In addition to payments, the ring’s sensors monitor health metrics, including heart rate, blood oxygen levels, activity, and sleep patterns.

“This product empowers users to lead a more active lifestyle without the need for cash or cards,” said Tappy CEO Wayne Leung.

Tappy has also collaborated with India’s IndusInd Bank to offer wearable technology via the Indus PayWear app. This app enables users to transform their cards into tokens, which can be integrated into wearable devices like rings, watch clasps, and stickers for seamless contactless payments.
