Dutch neobank Bunq has upgraded its GenAI assistant, Finn, to be fully conversational and introduced a new travel insurance product aimed at digital nomads.
Initially unveiled late last year, Finn replaced the traditional search function on the Bunq app, enabling users to ask questions and seek advice about their bank accounts, spending habits, saving, and other financial matters. Since its launch, Finn has answered over 100,000 questions, independently solving up to 40% of user support queries and assisting with 75%.
The latest upgrade enhances Finn’s capabilities, allowing it to handle back-to-back questions and provide deeper insights into users’ finances at double the speed. The assistant now promises personalized, context-rich answers, further improving user experience. Additionally, Finn can recommend places to visit, such as cafes, restaurants, and bars in new cities, based on reviews from other Bunq users.
In a separate development, Bunq has partnered with embedded insurance provider Qover to expand its product offerings for the growing number of digital nomads. The new travel insurance product is designed to address the challenges travelers face when purchasing insurance for every trip. Users on the Easy Bank Pro XL plan receive automatic worldwide coverage, which can be activated once for all future trips. Insurance claims can be filed directly through the Bunq app via the link to Qover.
This move underscores Bunq’s commitment to continuously enhancing its user experience through innovative solutions and partnerships, catering to the evolving needs of modern travelers and digital banking customers.
