Skyfire Launches Payments Network for AI Agents

Skyfire, a startup founded by former Google and Ripple executives, has officially launched its payments network designed to enable AI agents to make autonomous transactions. The network, now out of beta, addresses the limitations of AI agents, which currently require human oversight for payments.

Skyfire’s infrastructure provides secure wallet access, verifiable agent identity, and an open payment protocol, allowing AI agents to perform service requests, make purchasing decisions, and execute instant transactions without human intervention.

CEO Amir Sarhangi stated, “AI agents are the new consumers of the internet. Skyfire bridges the gap between traditional payment rails and the AI economy, offering a global, programmable financial infrastructure built for scale.”

Co-founder Craig DeWitt added, “Skyfire’s infrastructure represents a new approach to how AI agents access and pay for services.”

The company, which raised $8.5 million last year, has seen strong traction during its beta phase and is now rolling out its network globally.
