Verifo
Verifo is an online banking solution offered by Verified Payments UAB, a company registered in Lithuania and regulated as an e-Money Institution by the Bank of Lithuania. They provide services such as SEPA and SWIFT payments, payment collections, cloud-based forex payments, and a merchant API.However, in May 2022, the Bank of Lithuania initiated an investigation into Verified Payments to assess their compliance with anti-money laundering and terrorism financing guidelines. The regulator received complaints regarding their operations, which prompted the probe. As a result, Verifo is included in our “Orange Compliance” list, indicating potential compliance concerns.It’s important to note that being on the “Orange Compliance” list does not necessarily mean that a company is engaged in illegal activities. It simply indicates that there are compliance concerns that warrant further investigation.
