Wise Launches Group Spending Feature for UK Customers

Money transfer giant Wise has introduced a new feature called ‘Spend with Others’, allowing users to share spending with a group of family or friends without the hassle of opening a joint account. The feature is now available for free to all Wise Account customers in the UK.

With Spend with Others, a group ‘owner’ can set up a spending group and invite up to four additional Wise users. Each group member can contribute funds and receive their own digital Wise card, which works across 160+ countries and supports over 40 currencies. While everyone can spend from the group pool, only the owner is allowed to withdraw or send funds.

Wise product manager Max Bevan explains the rationale behind the launch: “People want to share their spending easily with those they trust, but they don’t want the formality that comes with opening up a joint account.”

The feature is designed to simplify shared spending for travel, household expenses, and other everyday group costs, giving users flexibility and control while taking advantage of Wise’s low-fee international payments and currency exchange.
