Pave raises $14m for AI-driven portfolio management

Pave Finance, an AI-powered wealth management software company, has secured $14 million in seed funding. The startup will use this investment to expand its institutional-grade portfolio management platform. Founded by veterans of Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and Morgan Stanley, Pave brings decades of investment experience to its AI-driven technology.

Automating Portfolio Management for Advisors

The company’s mission focuses on helping investment advisors scale their operations. Pave automates and personalizes portfolio construction and management processes. According to company data, wealth advisors typically spend 18 hours weekly managing portfolios. This leaves little time for business expansion without compromising service quality. Pave’s software addresses this challenge through alpha scoring algorithms, an optimization engine, and a direct trading platform. These tools generate portfolios specifically tailored to each client’s goals and risk tolerance.

From Quantitative Models to Accessible Platform

Pave originally developed quantitative models that powered billions in asset management. The company has since transformed its system into a self-service software platform. This new platform uses machine learning and predictive analytics to make institutional investment knowledge accessible to independent advisors. Consequently, advisors can leverage Pave’s expertise without building their own infrastructure.

Proven Performance and Future Expansion

The platform continuously adapts to changing market conditions. It generates buy and sell recommendations, executes trades, and maintains risk alignment with chosen benchmarks. Importantly, Pave’s core models have outperformed the S&P 500 by an average of 285 basis points annually over the past 15 years.

Today, Pave’s software integrates with major custodians and serves independent advisors managing more than 60,000 accounts. These accounts represent $18 billion in client assets. With this new funding, Pave plans to accelerate product innovation, enhance its AI-driven features, and expand its global advisor network.

CEO Christopher Ainsworth stated: “Pave is transforming how portfolios are built, personalised, and managed. This new capital enables us to accelerate innovation, expand our capabilities, and further support advisors in delivering truly personalised investment outcomes at scale.”
