Revolut Business Launches Full-Suite Merchant Acquiring Product in Australia

Revolut Business has introduced a full-suite merchant acquiring solution in Australia, integrating account-to-account, online, and in-person payments within a single platform alongside its business account.

Revolut Business, the global financial technology platform that serves hundreds of thousands of companies worldwide, has launched a full-suite merchant acquiring product in Australia, enabling businesses to accept and manage payments directly within their core business account — a first for the local market.

The new 360° payment solution unifies account-to-account transfers, online checkouts and in-person payments within a single ecosystem, eliminating the need for Australian businesses to use multiple third-party providers. The launch follows a period of rapid growth for Revolut’s payment services in the country, where monthly transaction volumes have increased by 235 % over the past year.

This initiative marks a significant evolution in how businesses can manage their payments infrastructure — moving from fragmented systems to an integrated, business-centric platform.

Unified Payments and Business Accounts for Australia

Revolut’s merchant acquiring suite consolidates payment acceptance and settlement with the core Revolut Business account, allowing Australian companies — from small and medium enterprises to larger enterprises — to manage sales and funds flows in one place. Users can accept all major online and offline payment types, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, via APIs, payment links, and invoices.

Merchants can also benefit from 24/7 settlement — including weekends — and the ability to hold and settle funds in more than 30 currencies, which can significantly reduce unnecessary exchange fees for businesses operating across borders.

The product’s pricing begins at 0.5 % per transaction, and the platform is backed by 99.99 % uptime, underpinning its reliability for business use.

By integrating acquiring, payments and settlement into a single platform, Revolut Business aims to reduce operational complexity and enhance financial visibility for Australian firms.

Tools and Features for Modern Merchants

Revolut’s merchant acquiring suite includes a range of tools tailored to diverse business needs. For merchants that prefer mobile acceptance, Tap to Pay on iPhone acts as an entry-level solution that requires no dedicated terminal. For businesses requiring more robust in-store payment capabilities, Revolut Terminal — an all-in-one device designed for constant connectivity — is also available.

On the online front, Revolut Pay provides a secure, one-click account-to-account checkout option that can be embedded in web store checkouts, streamlining payment experiences for customers and helping merchants drive conversion.

The suite supports a broad range of payment acceptance methods, helping businesses future-proof their payment stack and respond to evolving consumer preferences.

A Market-First Move for Australian Businesses

Australia’s payments landscape — with 1.3 billion card payments each month valued at A$90 billion — represents an attractive opportunity for integrated payment solutions that can simplify how money moves between consumers and businesses. Revolut Business’ acquiring suite is positioned to capitalise on this demand by offering a simplified, low-friction payments solution.

James Roberts-Thomson, Head of Revolut Business Australia, said the launch was a “genuine step-change” in how Australian companies can manage payments. He noted that the unified platform brings clarity and fairness to business banking — replacing complexity and high fees with integrated innovation.

With the introduction of this full-suite acquiring product, Revolut Business is not only simplifying payments for Australian businesses but also challenging traditional acquiring models that rely on multiple disparate providers
