Abacum Raises $60M to Boost AI Finance Tools

Abacum, the AI-powered business planning platform for finance teams, has secured $60 million in Series B funding to supercharge its product development and deepen its presence in the U.S. market. The funding round was led by Scale Venture Partners, a prominent San Francisco-based investor known for backing companies like DocuSign, HubSpot, and Box. Global VC firm Cathay Innovation also joined the round, while existing investors such as Y Combinator, Atomico, Creandum, and Kfund significantly increased their stakes, demonstrating strong confidence in Abacum’s growth trajectory.

Originally founded in Barcelona and now headquartered in New York, Abacum provides a modern, AI-driven alternative to traditional finance tools. Its platform consolidates real-time financial and operational data, allowing teams to forecast revenue, plan headcount, automate reports, and simulate business scenarios—all from one unified interface. This approach has already won the trust of hundreds of fast-scaling companies, including Strava, Aiven, JG Wentworth, and Mastercam.

The newly raised capital will accelerate Abacum’s roadmap for AI-first features, including a multi-agent intelligence layer that predicts business needs, a next-gen modeling engine for complex scenario planning, improved data integration, and streamlined collaboration tools tailored for finance teams. With over half of its revenue already coming from the U.S., the company is focused on solidifying its presence in North America while expanding its global footprint—currently serving clients in 31 countries.

Abacum has tripled its revenue in the past year without expanding its team size, showcasing operational efficiency and product-market fit. CEO Julio Martínez says this round is not just about scaling but about delivering deeper value to current users. “Finance teams are ready for real change,” he emphasized. “We’re building the platform they’ve been asking for—AI-first, collaborative, and built for strategic leadership.”

According to Stacey Bishop, Partner at Scale Venture Partners, Abacum is filling a long-standing gap in finance software. “Today’s finance teams are stuck between complex enterprise tools and clunky spreadsheets. Abacum strikes the right balance—robust yet intuitive, and AI-first from day one. It’s redefining the role of finance in modern companies.”
