Nationwide Launches Cyber Security Training Programme with Capslock

Nationwide has partnered with cyber skills provider Capslock to launch a dedicated cyber security training programme for new technology recruits. The initiative aims to address the challenges of recruiting cyber talent while promoting diversity and fostering a cyber-first culture within the organization.

The 16-week Capslock curriculum simulates real-world cyber security environments, focusing on risk management, technology, and process disciplines. Participants will gain Ce-CSP certifications and develop skills in ethics, resilience, and business continuity. The programme emphasizes teamwork and problem-solving, preparing graduates for the dynamic demands of the cyber security field.

This partnership builds on Nationwide’s nine-year-old Technology Development Programme, which has trained over 300 graduates and career changers in IT. By collaborating with Capslock, Nationwide aims to attract diverse talent and strengthen the UK’s cyber security workforce.

David Boda, Chief Security and Resilience Officer at Nationwide, highlighted the importance of diverse perspectives in staying ahead of evolving cyber threats. He stated, “Companies like Nationwide have a responsibility to develop the UK’s cyber security skillset and bring more diversity into the industry.”
