Raiffeisen Bank Taps Wise Platform for Faster Cross-Border Payments

Raiffeisen Bank International has signed a deal with Wise to bring its powerful cross-border payments infrastructure to customers across Central and Eastern Europe. Operating in 11 regional markets, Raiffeisen will integrate the Wise Platform to enable seamless international transfers for both personal and business clients.

Wise Platform is backed by over 70 global licenses and six direct connections to major payment systems. It supports transactions to over 160 countries in more than 40 currencies, with 65% of transfers completed in under 20 seconds. This integration is designed to meet growing customer demand for faster and more transparent international money movement.

“In the past few years, we have seen growing customer demand and rising expectations for seamless international payments and we’re looking forward to going live with this innovative offering,” said Matthias Dekan, head of payments and daily banking at Raiffeisen.

The partnership with Raiffeisen is the latest in a string of global banking collaborations for Wise, following recent deals with Bank Mandiri, Zempler Bank, Morgan Stanley, and Standard Chartered. With this move, Raiffeisen aims to modernize its payment infrastructure and offer a more competitive digital banking experience across its network.
