Obita Raises $10M to Expand Stablecoin Payments

Digital financial network Obita has raised over $10 million in an angel financing round. The funds will help the company scale its blockchain-powered payment infrastructure for international transactions. Vision Plus Capital and Mirana Ventures co-led the round. They received backing from Legend Capital, HashKey Capital, Web3.com Ventures, and several prominent individual investors.

The Obita Mesh Solution

The company operates using its proprietary Obita Mesh framework. This blockchain-native solution tackles persistent problems in international payments. These challenges include high foreign exchange costs, slow settlement times, and a lack of transparency. Obita integrates enterprise-grade compliance tools, cross-border clearing networks, and treasury management services. This integration aims to provide real-time, low-cost settlements that meet regulatory standards across global markets.

Plans for Growth and Expansion

Obita will use the new funding to accelerate its research and development efforts. The company also plans to strengthen its compliance frameworks and support its international expansion. Obita intends to first target markets in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Traditional cross-border systems in these regions are often costly and inefficient, creating a significant opportunity.

Experienced Leadership Team

Co-founder and CEO Dayong Zhang leads the Obita team. His previous experience includes roles at HashKey Group, Ant Group, and RD Technologies. This brings deep expertise in stablecoin adoption and blockchain integration to the company. Co-founder and CBO Vincent Yang adds significant cross-border financial experience from his time at AliExpress, Ant Financial, and Longbridge Securities.

Investor Confidence in the Vision

Investors view Obita’s approach as a major advancement for stablecoin use in trade and finance. Vision Plus Capital highlighted the potential for efficiency gains in B2B payments. Mirana Ventures emphasized how compliant stablecoin settlement could reshape industry standards. Other backers, including Legend Capital and HashKey Capital, pointed to Obita’s unique position. They believe the company can effectively bridge the Web2 and Web3 ecosystems with a strong focus on compliance and digital asset infrastructure.

As stablecoin innovation pushes cross-border payments toward a tipping point, Obita aims to lead the transformation of global settlement systems. The company is building a secure, compliant, and blockchain-native financial network for enterprises worldwide.
