Avalanche Foundation Launches Visa Crypto Card for Global Use

The Avalanche Foundation has introduced a physical and digital Visa credit card, enabling users to spend their crypto assets anywhere Visa is accepted. The card supports Avalanche tokens (AVAX), wrapped AVAX, and stablecoins like USDT and USDC for both online and in-store purchases.

Partnering with blockchain-based card issuer Rain, the Avalanche Foundation is targeting users in Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America, regions with limited banking infrastructure. The card aims to provide seamless cross-border transactions and a secure alternative to traditional payment systems.

John Wu, President of Ava Labs, stated, “The Avalanche Card empowers users by making cryptocurrency a practical tool for everyday spending. As digital assets gain mainstream adoption, this card bridges the gap between crypto and real-world transactions.”
