Abacus Group Acquires Entara to Expand Cybersecurity Services

Abacus Group has acquired Chicago-based Entara in a strategic move to bolster its cybersecurity and managed IT services offerings for financial sector clients. The acquisition enhances Abacus’ capabilities in critical areas such as cyber incident response, AI-powered service delivery, and around-the-clock recovery support—key elements in meeting the demands of highly regulated industries.

Entara’s integration brings with it deep experience in compliance-heavy sectors and a mature implementation of ServiceNow, optimized with artificial intelligence for greater service efficiency. Additionally, Entara clients will now gain access to Abacus’ abacusFlex platform, enabling scalable and global delivery of IT and security services.

Abacus Group president Jonathan Bohrer emphasized the alignment of the two companies’ values and their shared commitment to innovation and excellence. He said the deal represents a major milestone in Abacus’ mission to become the leading global provider of managed services and cybersecurity for specialized vertical markets.

Entara CEO Pam Diaz also expressed strong support for the acquisition, noting that the collaboration would allow both companies to offer a broader range of high-value services and create new growth opportunities for clients and teams alike.

The merger underscores growing industry demand for robust, scalable cyber and IT solutions tailored to the unique needs of financial services firms.
