EBANX Partners with Yape for Peru Wallet Payments

Latin America-focused payments platform EBANX has officially partnered with Yape, Peru’s most widely used digital wallet, to enable seamless on-file and recurring payment solutions for international merchants operating in the country. This marks EBANX’s first direct integration with Yape, offering global businesses direct access to over 14 million active Peruvian users.

The partnership means merchants can now accept payments from Yape users either via their wallet balance or linked cards. For businesses offering subscription-based services, the integration supports recurring payments, streamlining long-term customer engagement and retention.

Yape, backed by Banco de Crédito del Perú, dominates Peru’s online wallet market. According to Payments and Commerce Market Intelligence (PCMI), Yape captured the highest share of online transaction volume via digital wallets in 2024. Its one-click payment support and rapid user onboarding make it especially attractive in a fast-growing digital economy.

Claudia Silva, Head of Payments at Yape, highlighted the potential: “With over 14 million active users, Yape empowers millions with reliable daily transactions. This integration with EBANX connects us to global merchants ready to tap into Peru’s dynamic e-commerce landscape.”

Juliana Etcheverry, EBANX’s Director of LatAm Country Growth – South Cone, echoed the sentiment: “This isn’t just about payment processing—it’s about helping merchants thrive in a rapidly evolving market. Yape delivers high-conversion payment capabilities that are secure, scalable, and built for both one-time and recurring purchases.”

As cross-border e-commerce continues its upward trend in Latin America, the EBANX-Yape partnership is positioned to become a cornerstone for merchants aiming to maximize conversion rates and reach digitally engaged consumers in Peru.
