Juspay Expands into Brazil with New Office to Support LATAM Growth

Juspay, a global leader in next-generation payment technologies, has announced the opening of a new office in Brazil, marking its official entry into Latin America. This expansion is Juspay’s first direct effort to build a strong customer base in Brazil and the wider region. The company, headquartered in Bangalore, India, provides a comprehensive suite of payment services including one-click checkouts, orchestration, 3DS authentication, network tokenization, fraud prevention, and white-label real-time payment infrastructure for banks.

Juspay played a key role in scaling India’s UPI system—equivalent to Brazil’s PiX—handling over 200 million daily transactions with near-perfect uptime. Now, Juspay is bringing that expertise to Brazil with advanced PiX 2.0 experiences, including Pix Biometrico, Pix Automático, and Pix by Proximity. It will also make its open-source orchestration platform, Hyperswitch, available to Brazilian merchants looking to customize their payments infrastructure.

Globally, Juspay processes more than $670 billion in annual transaction volume and is trusted by over 500 major companies including Amazon, Google Pay, Zurich Insurance, Swiggy, and Flipkart. The Brazil office adds to its international footprint across India, the US, UK, Singapore, and Dubai, supported by a team of more than 1,200 payment experts.

Sheetal Lalwani, Juspay’s Co-founder and COO, emphasized Brazil’s potential in the evolving payments space. “Our expansion comes at a pivotal moment in Brazil’s digital payments landscape. We intend to scale our team locally to help businesses leverage seamless payment experiences like 1-click PiX.”

Director of LATAM Expansion Shakthidhar Bhaskar added, “Brazil is leading a payments revolution, and Juspay aims to empower local merchants with enterprise-grade performance, simplifying complexity while reducing costs and enhancing user experience.”
