Revolut has integrated advanced artificial intelligence into its human resources operations, introducing an AI-powered interview system that evaluates job candidates while simultaneously assessing interviewer performance. The digital banking disruptor’s proprietary “Revolut People” platform now handles multiple aspects of the employee lifecycle, from initial recruitment screenings to comprehensive performance reviews.
The newly implemented AI interview tool analyzes candidate responses against job requirements while automatically generating detailed assessment summaries. This innovation allows human interviewers to focus more intently on conversations rather than note-taking, with early internal data showing improved engagement during interviews. The system goes beyond candidate evaluation, providing feedback to Revolut’s hiring managers about their interviewing techniques to help refine talent acquisition strategies across the organization.
Following successful hires, the AI platform continues to monitor employee development by aggregating data from one-on-one meetings, peer feedback, and even skills demonstrated outside formal job responsibilities. This creates multidimensional performance reviews that capture a more complete picture of each team member’s contributions.
Originally developed in-house to manage Revolut’s explosive growth to 10,000 employees, the People platform was commercialized in 2023 and is currently available to businesses in the UK and European Economic Area. Andrei Oprisor, Revolut’s Head of People Product, emphasizes the balanced approach: “While AI handles data processing and administrative tasks, the human element remains crucial for mentorship and culture-building. Our technology gives managers more time to focus on developing talent rather than paperwork.”
The move represents a significant step in workplace automation, with Revolut positioning itself at the forefront of AI-driven human resources innovation. As companies increasingly seek technological solutions for talent management, Revolut’s system offers a glimpse into how artificial intelligence might reshape recruitment and employee development in the fintech sector and beyond.
