Visa Expands Click to Pay Across APAC

Visa is launching its Click to Pay online checkout service widely throughout Asia Pacific. This rollout involves new partnerships with payment leaders 2C2P, Adyen, AsiaPay, and WorldpayThe service simplifies checkout by letting shoppers skip manual card entry. Instead, users retrieve their saved payment details using just a mobile number or email address.

Streamlining Checkout, Boosting Sales

By making checkout faster, Visa aims to reduce cart abandonment and increase merchant revenue. Early results prove its effectiveness, showing an average 2.5% improvement in successful payments. This directly lifts conversion rates for online stores. The system works across any web browser and device. It also uses biometric login methods like passkeys, offering speed and convenience matching contactless card payments.

Benefits for All Parties

For merchants, this expansion delivers smoother checkout flows and stronger sales. Banks gain a powerful tool to deepen customer relationships through the service. Consumers enjoy a checkout experience that is significantly quicker, safer, and more secure than traditional typing card details.

Strategic Vision for APAC Commerce

TR Ramachandran, Visa’s Head of Product and Solutions for Asia Pacific, highlighted the partnerships’ value. He stated: “These collaborations actively help merchants increase sales. They also empower banks with better engagement tools. Most importantly, they ensure consumers experience seamless online shopping.” With Click to Pay’s rapid expansion across the region, Visa is positioning itself centrally within Asia Pacific’s ongoing digital commerce transformation.
