Caixabank’s technology subsidiary, CaixaBank Tech, plans to hire 500 developers in the first quarter, boosting its total workforce to over 1,600 employees. The expansion reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening its technological capabilities and investing in its infrastructure.
A key focus of this hiring drive will be the expansion of CaixaBank Tech’s Seville-based technology hub, which specializes in software development. Starting in February, the Seville team will grow from 40 to 200 people. In addition to Seville, the tech subsidiary has offices in Barcelona and Madrid and currently employs more than 1,100 specialists in financial technology. The company aims to reach 2,000 employees within three years, driving significant growth in its digital services.
The hiring will focus on professionals with expertise in backend and frontend software development, artificial intelligence, data engineering, cloud technology, and data security. This recruitment aligns with CaixaBank‘s broader strategy, announced in November, which outlines a $5 billion technology investment over the next three years. The investment will support digital sales, new product launches, and innovation. A significant portion of this effort involves hiring 3,000 young professionals by 2027, many with strong technical and technological backgrounds.
