Google is teaming up with Wise, Ria Money Transfer, and Xe to test a new remittance experience through Google Wallet and search. The pilot, available to Google users in the US, focuses on high-demand corridors such as USD to INR, PHP, MXN, and BRL. It enables users searching for international money transfer options to compare providers and send funds directly.
Wise Platform’s commercial director, Lauren Langbridge, says the partnership will make fast, reliable cross-border payments more accessible, helping people choose the provider that best meets their needs. Ria and Xe’s parent company, Euronet, also sees the collaboration as a way to bring its services to millions of new customers via Google’s reach.
The move strengthens Google’s financial services footprint while aiming to make remittances faster, simpler, and more transparent. Beyond remittances, Google is enhancing its payment features for US users by expanding credit card reward details in Chrome autofill to over 100 cards. Shoppers will also soon be able to buy now, pay later with Affirm and Zip through Chrome autofill, with Klarna, Afterpay, and other providers joining in the future.
